New film on the Mind Blog
It's been a while since we updated this blog, but we certainly haven't been idle. If you follow the link to the Mind Aberystwyth Blog, you'll be able to see another film we helped them make. This film promotes the walks Mind organises for it's members and keen photographer Byron decided to use his photographs to make this film. The software we used this time was Microsoft's PhotoStory 3, which is freely available to download from Microsoft's web site. Byron said he found the whole process very enjoyable and is eager to make more films. Enjoy the film.

Yet another film posted!
We offer our very warm congratulations to the Clwb 50+ Club for posting their film 'Garden to Table' to their blogsite. It took a while to finish the film because like many people this past winter, most of the Club members fell victim to the cold / flu virus. But they're all fighting fit now and have been very busy updating their blogsite - follow the link on this page to their blogsite to see what they've been doing.

FairTrade at Bodlondeb
We recently helped arrange a FairTrade event at Bodlondeb for the residents and staff. We bought as wide a variety of produce as possible from a variety of shops in the Aberystwyth area. It's good to see that FairTrade products are being stocked in a wider range of places. We'd like to have the opportunity to thank a few people - Arnold from the Aberystwyth FairTrade Group for all the help and advice, Jen Horgan from the Aberystwyth FairTrade Group who was the guest speaker, students and staff from Coleg Ceredigion and Bodlondeb residents and staff for their time.
Connections Blog News
First thing we need to do is to congratulate Mrs. Jeremiah from Bodlondeb on her film - it's been completed and is now on the Bodlondeb blogsite. If you follow the link on this page it will take you to the Bodlondeb blog page where you'll be able to view her film.
Secondly we need to welcome Mind Aberystwyth to the Connections project. Chloe and I have been running small classes for members on the use of digital technology and the use of Open Source/Free software. With our help they've set up a blogsite and a few of the members are working on digital stories, which when completed will be put onto their blogsite. Check out Mind Aberystwyth's blogsite by follwing the link on this page.

In the 'Cambrian News'!
We were over the moon to see this weeks 'Cambrian News'. There on page 14 is an article about how well one of our project users is doing - Mrs. Marjorie Jeremiah. We've mentioned her before on this blog and how brilliant she is at emailing. It's wonderful that more people now know of her success. She's working very hard with us at the moment, making a film about Bodlondeb. Next week we hope to start recording her script that accompanies the film. Once completed this film will be put on Bodlondeb's blog site and also onto DVD, so that it can be show to prospective residents of the Home.
Other news: Clwb 50+ Club met yesterday with us, to continue work on their film. Sadly half the members were down with this nasty flu like bug. We wish them all a speedy recovery. The other members did a little editing and opening title and end credit sequences. Also they made a start with their script, by recording two audio segments. Sadly their blog site has been a little neglected, so we may do some work on it at the next session.
